M.D.K ARENA MODE – NEW UPDATE

Happy holidays! Here’s a big update for MORTALITY DECOMP. KILLERS for y’all.

NEW ARENA MODE has been added, for a simpler and more seamless endless mode. Move through individual rooms generated from interlocking presets and see how far you can make it.

NEW UNLOCKABLE LORE LOGS that can be earned through killing enemies and collecting coin drops, which give further details on the characters and their lives.

A NEW UNLOCKABLE CLIVE OUTFIT that you’ll have to play to see… You can take his coat off now!

COMPLETELY REBUILT MENUS that now almost entirely function with mouse clicking. Plus the settings are available from the in-game pause menu too!

AND FOR OWNERS OF SHADOW OF ABADDON (DLC), both campaigns and every game mode can now be played entirely in FIRST PERSON SHOOTER MODE!

New Game Shit:
– [DLC] Added the ‘FPS’ Camera option for all game modes, for both Clive & Abaddon
– Added ‘Arena Mode’, an endless game-mode with seamlessly generated arena
– Added an ‘Easy Mode’ to the Campaign, that nerfs enemy health and speed
– Enemies now have a chance to drop MDK Coins, that can be used to buy Extras
– Unlockable Documents have been added to Extras, giving further character lore details
– Multiple menus (Extras, Main, etc) have been rebuilt for mouse compatibility
– Settings has been split into organised submenus and can now be accessed in-game from the Pause menu
– Added NEW ‘Coatless’ skin for Clive

New Arena & Rogue Mode Shit:
– Enemies in Endless Modes now have a chance to drop Health Pickups
– New Enemy type ‘Half-Goons’ can appear in Endless Modes
– Added a run statistics screen when finishing a campaign playthrough

Bug Fixes:
– Fixed enemy corpse sprites not facing the camera (finally)
– Fixed 4-Health perk in Rogue Mode not working with Abaddon (I think)
– Applied black skybox to out-of-bounds in ‘Dragonbreath’
– Fixed Acid Water trigger being treated like a bullet and deleted post-collision
– Put a counteracting script in place to prevent Slash collider remaining on permanently

General Tweaks & Changes:
– Doors now only need to be shot once to break
– Added the Version Number of the build to the corner of the main menu
– Logo no longer changes depending on DLC, but game edition is displayed beside version num
– Campaign mode now has it’s own setup menu similarly to the two endless modes
– The main menu background no longer flickers, and shuffles between variants upon opening
– Returning to menu from in-game skips the initial logo reveal segment
– Main Menu now features a banner for Cuppakill news updates on all titles
– Sometimes Magnum Goons’ entire top half explode when they die to bullets now
– Changed direction of gib and blood particle effects to splash upwards
– Blood particles have had a huge vibrancy boost to better match the game’s colours
– Added a randomized 0-0.1 second timer for enemies dying to explosions
– [DLC] Moved & expanded timer collider in ‘Takeover Two’

Polish & Small Details:
– Menus with mouse-interactivity have a custom mouse cursor
– Added a small cursor animation when killing an enemy
– Added the screen-border zoom-lines from ‘Incarnage’ when using dash moves
– Added light version of subtle dot-matrix effect around screen from ‘Bane Murrain’

‘Rogue Mode’ Perk Changes:
– Removed ‘Chain Reaction’ Perk when playing as Abaddon, since there was no effect
– ‘Costly Slash’ Negative Perk now correctly affects Abaddon
– Lowered volume of additional enemy gunshots for ‘Rapid Fire’ perk
– Added ‘Wolf Shadow’ Negative Perk
– Added new ‘Half-Goons’ enemy as a Negative Perk
